I am a connoisseur of “reality.” Three quotes from hard-nosed scientists follow that support commonality. I believe these all fall under the umbrella of what is known as Perennialism [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perennial_philosophy](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perennial_philosophy)
“All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force. … We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind.” -Max Planck
And “Space and time can claim no existence of their own. … What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. Matter is spirit reduced to a point of visibility. There is no matter. …Time and space are not conditions of existence, spacetime is a model we have developed for thinking." -Einstein
“Physics is to be regarded not so much as the study of something a priori given, but rather as the development of methods of ordering and surveying human experience.” -Niehls Bohr
Even Carl Jung said the telling question of a man's life is if he is related to something infinite or not.
“As good men come nearer to perfecting themselves, they become saints, sages, yogis, highest rishis, angels, archangels; and ultimately, during full liberation from the triple qualities, they merge in everlasting oneness with Spirit." -Yogananda
“energy occurs, not in a continuous manner, but in discrete packets that Planck called quanta. And yet human consciousness can be expanded into the bounded infinite series of the uncountable infinity of infinities (the mind of god) which in turn, implies that, as conscious beings, we are all connected through the infinite continuity of spirit. Thus, the profound truth that in Spirit, we are all one and the same, and the opposite of that profound truth, the fact that every soul is unique (in terms of where that soul is on the journey from minimal awareness to omnipresent Cosmic Consciousness) is also true!” -ER Close
“The indubitableness of forever being locked in consciousness and always experiencing matter inside and not separate from consciousness is astounding and lends credence to a consciousness-as-fundamental worldview: In Advaita maya is a form of divine playfulness that only has illusive appearance and the true underlying reality even for Nature/matter is a form of consciousness called Cosmic Consciousness.” -me

Another post:
“When we become aware of our own consciousness, we begin to see that it is not limited to our individual selves. It is a vast and open field of awareness that connects us to all beings and all things. This realization is the beginning of the path to enlightenment.” -Google Bard
“A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.” -Einstein
Yeah, the psychodynamics of what you consider the self or the Self are important in consciousness studies. Cosmic Consciousness is a special form of samadhi but perhaps perfectly natural like sahaja and the Buddhist dharmamega. The spectrum of the trikaya is onefulness.
“Ascension to liberation is not a simple matter of a few affirmations, prayers, or desultory attempts at meditation. It can only be achieved by persistent practice of scientific methods of penetrating the spiritual eye. No soul, no saint, no Christ or Buddha has resurrected himself—at the time of death or in the highest samadhi states of meditation—without entering this inner door to transcendent consciousness. As soon as one frees the soul from the physical, astral, and idea bodies, he can merge with the Formless Absolute or experience oneness with the Great Light of the universe. That is the light of the Infinite Christ, the God-essence and sustenance of all creation.” -Yogananda (The Second Coming of Christ, p.1505)
